I AM STILL WAITING ON THE DISCUSSION!



OBJECTIVES
                     
I can relate objective is to offer alternatives that foster faith, hope, and confidence that life can be worthwhile. ICR aims to assist in the reintegration of deported persons by collaborating with other service agencies. Assistance may be provided through various services including:


  • Intake and needs Assessment.
  • Family reconciliation and maintaining of a supportive family network.
  • Administrative support and referral for Services -- housing, health, employment, skills training, legal, TRN, NIS, drivers’ license, birth certificate, etc.).
  • Referral for substance abuse / mental health treatment and counseling services.
  • Anger management counseling and other issues of social functioning.
  • Peer Support provided by an in-house based forum of deported persons providing a supportive network.
  • Mentor-ship Program in consultation with personnel of the University of the West Indies.
  • Community Outreach and Awareness. This effort helps to identify and bring into the formal system deported persons who are at risk of falling by the wayside and thus becoming a public burden.
  • Reception Services at the point of entry back into the island.
  • Case Management
  • Family Support to Aid in Reintegration/Rehabilitation.
  • Counseling / Therapy Services
  • Other Referrals (employment, accommodation, health, training, legal, etc).
  • Sustainable Partnerships with Service Providers
